JUN2010 - Seehafen Kiel selects CAMCO for Gate Automation

CAMCO is proud to announce that it has been selected by the Seaport of Kiel, one of the most important ports at the Baltic Sea, to introduce a comprehensive Automatic Gate System AGS at its newly refurbished Schwedenkai.

The AGS system shall include the 'Best of Class' OCR Camera systems, driver kiosks and Gate Operating System GOS to automate truck and trailer identification, access control, condition recording and remote damage inspection and truck processing.

The solution shall allow Seehafen Kiel to process all inbound and outbound trucks, day and night, in a very efficient and accurate way and with reduced resources and operating costs.

The automated outgate system shall become operational in September 2010, while the go-live of the ingate is planned for the end of 2010.
